A brand new webpage that brings together a broad range of information that clearly explains the importance of the planning system and how it works is now available on the OPR website.
This new page “Introduction to Planning” brings together all of the OPR’s public awareness resources in one central, accessible location.
The page contains the following material:
- planning leaflets,
- explainer animations,
- Eco-Eye episodes on spatial planning,
- FAQs, and
- interactive infographics.
As well as simple explanations on:
- why planning is important,
- the different features of the planning system,
- the hierarchy of plans,
- what is a development plan, and
- the role of the OPR.
This new information page is all part of the OPR’s role to increase awareness and understand of planning in Ireland.
