This technical glossary is a collection of phrases and terminology relating to architecture and built heritage. It covers a wide range of architecture related issues such as conservation, building regulations and the built environment. 

The definitions included within this glossary should not be considered as legal statements, statutory definitions or interpretations of planning and environmental law. This glossary is not exhaustive and the OPR would welcome suggestions in relation to relevant material which could be included within the collection.
